The Brooklyn Italians Soccer Club is located in Brooklyn, New York, and joined the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) as a North-East expansion team in 2010. . It is the vision of the organization to educate the youth of Brooklyn, and surrounding areas, with the opportunity to participate in organized travel soccer. The club encourages players to go beyond the common goal of college soccer. We are dedicated to serving the needs of the more committed soccer player by providing the highest level of instruction available thereby preparing him or her to be a proud representative of the Club at local, state and regional competitions. Brooklyn Italians strives to produce confident players who have not only reached their full athletic potential but are also prepared to become active and productive members of their community. Brooklyn Italians has alumni that are, or who have played, in the U.S. National Team, Europe, MLS, and the many divisions of the USL. To date, Brooklyn Italians has won two U.S. Open Cup - now known as the "Lamar U.S. Open Cup". The first was in 1979 and for the second time 1991.
The Italians competed in the YPSL for the first time in 2010, fielding a strong men’s team that finished the season with only one defeat, and inflicted the only defeat on champions the New Jersey Blaze – a 7-1 romp early in June.
