About Albertson LI Academy

Among the clubs that have made a name for themselves in American elite youth soccer, Albertson Soccer Club on Long Island is one of the most prominent. The continuing pattern of top girls teams combined with an up-and-coming boys program has punctuated the club’s stature on the soccer landscape through an illustrious 30 years. The Albertson club serves as the player development system for the NPSL team Long Island Academy.

Whilst Albertson is renowned for its elite teams, the club also provides for all ages and abilities, with what started as a small, local club now expanded to provide soccer to over 2000 players. This includes 250 players in the U5 skills program, and teams from recreation to USSF levels, at every age up to 23. Including in this is over 28 premier teams, 32 travel teams and two USSF Academy teams (U15-16B, U17-18B). The Albertson Soccer Club has set a mission to provide children with a positive soccer experience, which incorporates the development of good skills, team participation and fun.

The Long Island Academy has quickly been established as a powerhouse team in the National Premier Soccer League, moving from a 5-3-3 season in 2007, to an 8-1-2 in 2008 while winning the Mid-Atlantic Division championship.
