Philadelphia to Host First YPSL Kickoff Event
Philadelphia, PA, June 10th 2009
The Philadelphia Independence are set to host the opening weekend of the 2009 Youth Premier Soccer League (YPSL) season. The Liberty, in partnership with West Chester United Soccer Club, will host the boys-only event at DeLacey Field Complex over the weekend on June 20-21.
The weekend will see teams from around the region come together to compete and kick off the second YPSL season. After expanding dramatically from its inaugural season, the YPSL welcomes teams including the Maryland Red Devils, FC Revolution and the USSF affiliated Albertson LI Academy to the league where they will compete. The Morris County Colonials, AC Diablos and Lancaster PA Classics are examples
The Independence are apart of the Team Dynamics organization. Team Dynamics designs and operates a vast and growing network of boys and girls recreation and select (travel) soccer teams, players, coaches, camps, clinics, training services, outreach programs, and health and fitness capabilities.
This large training organization provides the perfect cradle-to-grave structure for the soccer athlete starting at an early age with camps and Youth Premier Soccer League (YPSL) participation, evolving to its high school and college minor league teams within Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) and National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), and culminating in the Independence’s designated women’s minor league feeder team to the Independence, the CDSA Future. This elaborate youth soccer progression system, all of its coaches/trainers, sports professionals, methodologies, and facilities are part of Team Dynamics, which is owned and operated by the same ownership team as the Philadelphia Independence women’s pro soccer organization.
