| Formed in the Fall of 2007 to help bring prominence to women's soccer in the town of Millburn and the surrounding area, the 2008 WPSL and YPSL seasons marked the first chapter of the Magic's history. With a strong base of local talent to build from, including record-holding Goalkeeper Lia Fierro, the Magic looked overseas to bring talent to their inaugural roster, bringing in English Premier League stars Katherine McKenna and Rachel Fell. After starting the season strongly, the Magic have fallen behind over recent weeks as they finished the season with a 3-6-3 record in 4th place of the East Mid Atlantic Division.
The Magic Franchise is committed to the growth and development of youth soccer throughout the area. Their partnership with local training organization Sonesoccer, means the Magic have strong links and are well established in the local soccer community. The Magic compete at every age group in the YPSL, with two teams competing at U14, as well as very strong U9 and U10 pre-YPSL teams. All the Magic youth teams have seen their results improve as the summer has progressed, particularly the U16s who, after loosing their opening game against the Philadelphia Liberty, have since gone unbeaten heading into the final tournament of the season.
The Magic are part of The New Jersey Soccer Group, a management company representing a family of soccer based organizations offering a full range of soccer services in northern New Jersey.
